Working in partnership with statutory agencies, local women’s organizations, and community groups, we ensure women in disadvantaged and rural areas receive the support they need and that their voices are heard. Our work focuses on five key areas:
– Advocacy and leadership (representation)
– Policy development, including responding to consultations
– Research
– Service support
– Engagement
Our ongoing efforts address persistent barriers faced by women, including the Cost of Living Crisis, Carers, Childcare Strategy, and Gender Budgeting. We empower local women by engaging with the Equality Commission, Cliff Edge Coalition, National Women’s Council, local politicians, MLAs, and other agencies to ensure women’s needs are met.
